Just keep this in mind if you have been there before or if this is your first visit. One more thing, they are in the middle of remodeling right now so the seating area is not available, the remodeling includes enlarging this area. If you enjoy sweet wines, especially Blackberry wines you owe it to yourself to pick up a bottle of each of these.

Just so you will know if you buy a case they give you a 10% discount and 2 free wine glasses. Decided to get some of our favorite and also a couple of bottles of Lauren's Blackberry. Anyway, they have some really good sweet wines that we have not found anywhere else. Since we were already there we decide to sample a couple of their other sweet wines. Stopped by yesterday while on a day trip to Paducah Kentucky to pick up some of our favorite wine (Black and Bruised) which is a combination of their Paducah Blue and Lauren's Blackberry. It always seems to have a fun and relaxed atmosphere and great service. We have been to the Purple Toad several times since moving to west Tennessee.
We brought home a bottle of the "Black and Bruised" and the "Cabernet Franc" to drink at home. I normally drink mostly dry whites but I found I really enjoyed the sweeter fruit wines too. But we were immediately greeted and told we could taste everything we wanted for free! That's a great concept- I tasted more wines than I normally would have this way before I made a decision to buy a glass to drink and a few bottles to take home. We moved to the Paducah area last Fall and just got around to stopping at the Purple Toad for a wine tasting last Saturday.
